Imagine you have it all. You're celebrated as the greatest young actor working in Hollywood. No, actually, you're celebrated by most as the greatest living actor, period, and possibly one of the greatest of all time, and you're only 27. You have the perfect girlfriend, the perfect life, everyone loves you, even your critics. Welcome to Kristian Rosenkreutz' world. But, also imagine that you've been invited to a secret wedding between a mysterious King and Queen, and must go on a dangerous journey to get there. Twists and turns, social status and sacrifice, chaos and order, surrealism and realism, drama and comedy, role playing and sex, innocence and the grotesque, all in one large Castle.
The Chariot: Kristian Rosenkreutz, inspired by the occult German classic The Chemical Wedding by Christian Rosencreutz of 1616, is the eighth tale (the first being Part Zero) in The Human Drama series. 30 short stories for 30 tarot cards (following a similar structure to one of the oldest decks in existence, the 15th century Mantenga Tarocchi, possibly conceived by Nicholas of Cusa, which has five sets of ten cards representing five aspects to existence). The first 10 books in The Human Drama take place in modern day Los Angeles, the following 10 will take place in the future, and the remaining 10 will take place in the past, focusing on both famous and obscure people from history.
