For centuries, the tarot has fascinated human beings, as a divinatory tool, as great works of art, as a path to deeper understanding of ourselves and our place in the universe. Starting in 2024, author Derek Hunter will begin a 20 year project, of telling a story based on each individual tarot card, wherein the lead character represents the meaning behind the card. 78 stories for 78 cards. The first 11 tales will follow characters in the modern day, the last 11 stories that fall within the Major Arcana (the first 22) will take place in the future. The remaining tales - 56 - will be told by figures from history and will focus on people in the past.
